We’ve spent our lives outdoors surfing, climbing, fishing, and exploring. And every trip reminded us of one harsh truth: the gear we carried to enjoy nature was part of what was destroying it. Coolers, especially, were a glaring problem, made from virgin plastics, heavy, and destined to add to the world’s waste.
So we decided to start over.
Jää was founded with one mission: prove that outdoor gear can perform at the highest level without compromising the planet. We pulled from years of experience in plastics engineering, product design, and outdoor sports to build a cooler unlike anything else, lightweight, high-capacity, long-lasting, and crafted from recycled materials.

What does Jää mean?
Jää means “ice” in Finnish and “yes” in Norwegian. Together, it stands for protecting the planet and saying yes to sustainable gear.

What happens if the funding goal isn’t met?
